Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

On a rainy night I picked up a side of chicken with yuca and beans and rice. I will have to say the decor and ambiance of the place is very nice and cozy, it smelled very clean and the dining area and bar were very organized. The sweet lady that took my order makes me want to return. When I got home with my bag of hot chicken and yuca I was not blown away. I feel bad typing this ... but I have to be honest. The chicken was not as juicy, however it was seasoned and hot. The beans and rice were basic, the yuca, well this was my first time trying it so I will not give my opinion. Nowadays, there are Peruvian chicken spots popping up everywhere. I have toagree with the other reviews, it was edible but not stellar. I will not give up on Marina's, maybe their staple menu item is another dish.

Best peruvian chicken I've had??? NO... but it wasnt bad either. I'd go back if I was in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat. Their 'green sauce' was on point though. I wish I could make that stuff at home. I'd eat it on everything!

Is Marina's the best Peruvian chicken around? Nope, not really. But it's got convenient parking, the chicken's pretty good, the sides are generous, and you can get a real Coke with real sugar in a real bottle alongside your meal. Add on top that a half-chicken with two sides is $8 for a pretty sizable portion, and that's a winning combination. Muy bueno, Marina's. They've even got a full bar if you wanna tip one back. We didn't find service problematic at all, but you may want to have a little patience if you don't speak Spanish.

I wish I could give them an even lower rating. I just called them to place an order. The woman who answered the phone was the epitome of rudeness. I asked her one question about the pricing of a menu item, and she put me on hold right away. I then asked her how many people one of their chickens would serve and she said she didn't know. Apparently there are many people who eat an entire chicken by themselves and even some more who eat half a chicken by themselves. Thank you for that information. How can you work in a restaurant that serves mainly chicken and not give me a range of how many people it can feed? When I asked her if sides came with it, she acted like it was the stupidest question in the world. Well, you probably should have told me that the initial price you gave me included the chicken plus sides. She basically said Oh Lord, into the phone. Thank you so much, but I'm taking my business elsewhere. Note to Management: I know your place is probably oh so busy on Sunday nights (I'm being pretty sarcastic), but you should probably have people manning the phones who know a thing or two about customer service.

I like this place. The chicken is good and flavorful. Always moist. Sardis is better, but this is good and close to work. The staff is always decent when I go. The only down side is they don't offer discount for large group orders or for catering. For this reason, my company does not order from here often.

The server was nice and the food was decent but nothing to drive out of your way for. Nothing bad about the chicken, it just isn't stellar. It was pretty empty when we came by but it was 3:30pm... The plantains were good as well. Decidedly average but not pretentious.

Pretty good. We used to order chicken from here before pollo mex opened up on New Hampshire ave. chicken is solid- not the best but def not bad. The limo saltado was veryyyyy good. I haven't had this in prob a year and it was as good as I remember. Fiancé got a seafood yellow sauce dish. I thought it would have been better with chicken or beef cause the calamari made it taste fishy imo. The next day I went back and ordered a cilantro sauce dish named seco. That was good too but it was just two pieces of short rib. Will visit more often because the other food choices in the area just aren't good anymore.
